Hi! I’m Andrew Low and I’ve been teaching and tutoring science and maths from primary to university for over thirty years. I’m also the father of seven homeschooled children, all of whom have gone on to tertiary studies, so I’m familiar with the benefits and limitations of homeschooling.
I recognised that many parents struggle to teach science, particularly at the high school level and couldn’t find any Australian courses designed specifically for homeschool families. That’s why I decided to write a science course that addresses these issues. Welcome to Explore Science!
This course will address all your requirements.

- Explore Science has everything you need in one package. No additional costs other than household items for the practical activities (e.g. paper, food colour, tennis ball, etc.)**

*If you want to study science at a deeper level, check out our textbook reviews before you decide to purchase an (optional) textbook to supplement your science studies.
**Some experiments will benefit from additional equipment such as beakers, a microscope and a thermometer, but these are not compulsory. Most activities are designed to use household or easily purchased items only. If you cannot afford the extra item(s), that’s fine! Simply skip those activities. Most of the additional equipment can be used for multiple experiments, and it becomes even better value if you have more than one child.
